Winifred D. Martin

Winifred Dorothy Martin (Winnie), age 83 of Glencoe, MN, died on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia, MN. Winnie was born on June 26, 1930 to Edward and Mary (Purcell) Mulligan in Green Isle. She graduated from Glencoe High School serving as Homecoming Queen in 1948. She married Michael Martin on June 18, 1955 at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Green Isle. She is survived by her children: Mary (Mike Kahn) Martin-Kahn of Jordan, MN; Michael (Laura) Martin, Jr. of Roseville, MN & Patrick (Tish Johnson) Martin of Chaska, MN. Grandchildren: Michael (Sara) Martin, Kathleen Martin, Elizabeth Martin & Sarah Martin. Step-grandchildren: Cory (Sarah) Kahn, Morgan Johnson, Ryan & Shane Lund. Three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Martin and sisters, Mary Ellen Mullen & Kathleen Seller. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Green Isle, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will be in the Church cemetery. Fr. Roger Hessian, and Fr. Jerry Berger will officiate the Mass.
