Yoko Tomita Showket

Yoko Tomita Showket, age 75, of Le Sueur, passed away on September 9, 2026, at Oak Terrace Senior Living in Jordan. A Celebration of Life for Yoko will be on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur  from 10 AM to Noon, with a graveside service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery to follow.

Yoko Tomita was born on October 30, 1950, in Okinawa, Japan. In 1975, Yoko and her family moved to the United States. She worked at ADC Telecommunications in Le Sueur in their factory. 

Yoko married Dale Winters, they would later divorce. She then met Jamal "James" Showket at a casino. They spent many years together until his passing in 2018. 

She loved to keep up with Minnesota sports, especially the Vikings and the Twins. She also enjoyed playing a good game of bingo. Most importantly, she loved time spent with her son and grandkids.

Yoko is survived by her son, Mike Winters; and her grandchildren, Micah, Mikaela, Cullen, and Meaghan.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Showket.
