Yvonne M. Kobreek

Yvonne M. Kobreek, age 80 of Le Center, died on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Memorial services will be private. Yvonne was born on July 5, 1937 to Frank & Neoma (Godfrey) Meyer in Belle Plaine, MN. She attended Belle Plaine Schools and grew up in the Belle Plaine area. She married Wallace G. Kobreek and the couple lived in the Le Sueur area for many years. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years in her husband's telephone installation business and in her later years worked seasonally at Green Giant and did some home health care. Yvonne found happiness in cooking and entertaining, interior decorating and gardening. She also loved playing cards, and winning. She was very loved and will be missed by all. She is survived by her children; Kim (Edwin) Janda of Indio, CA; Tracy Harmeyer of North Dakota; Scott Kobreek of Chehalis, WA; Robin (Dean) Hoffman of Anoka, MN and Nicole Kobreek of Anoka, MN. Grandchildren; Beth & Nicholas Janda, Holly Kobreek, Katie Rose (Shawn) Ernest, Cody Filipek, Charlie (Emily) Harmeyer, Christian (Carolyn) Harmeyer and Madison Hoffman, and 4 Great-Grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Snipes of Council Bluffs, Iowa. And her beloved cat Blacky. Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace in 1988 and siblings, Vera Helseth, Richard Meyer and longtime companion Ivan Holmquist.
