Abigail M. Clark

Abigail Marie Clark, age 21 of Le Sueur and St. Paul, MN, died suddenly of unknown medical conditions while jogging on Saturday, July 6, 2019 in Eveleth, MN.  

Abigail grew up with a sense of quiet fearlessness, taking on all that life offered without hesitation or complaint. After her father’s job brought her to live in Bangalore, India during her 4th grade year, she cultivated a passion for seeing the world. She traveled often, living in Denmark in her 10th grade year after being awarded a spot with the North Star Rotary Youth Exchange. A remarkably intelligent and mature woman, she graduated from the University of Minnesota at the early age of 20 and had begun a career with Fusion Hill Market Research. With many talents and interests, Abigail was a peaceful presence to every activity she was involved in from high school cross country running, to rock climbing, to sailing with her family and anything artistic.  

Abigail was fiercely committed to bettering herself and the world she lived in. Particularly dedicated to advancing the mission of sexual assault prevention and comprehensive sexual health education, she was a passionate volunteer with The Aurora Center for Advocacy & Education at the University of Minnesota and most recent role with the Family Tree Clinic.  

Whether working hard for the causes she believed in or adventuring with the people she loved, Abigail led her life with impeccable style and grace – qualities that reflected her personality entirely. She will always be remembered for her calm enthusiasm for whatever goal, activity, or project she undertook. 

She is survived by her parents, Samuel & Monica (Lanari) Clark of Le Sueur; brothers, Andrew and Matthew Clark of Le Sueur; life partner, Joshua Marzahn of St. Paul, MN; grandmother, Vida Lanari of Virginia, MN; step-grandmother, Ann Clark of St. Peter, MN; and many other relatives and friends all over the world. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Phillip & Shirley Clark, and Rick Lanari.   

Visitation will be held at Kolden Funeral Home, Le Sueur, Minnesota on Wednesday, July 10th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with opening prayers by Fr. Chris Shofner. The visitation will continue Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, July 11th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Le Sueur, MN. Following Mass there will be a lunch at St. Anne's School in Le Sueur. A private Interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in St. Peter, MN.
