Agnes M. Milam, age 101 died on April 7, 2023 at Ridgeview Hospital in LeSueur. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in LeSueur. The visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment, at a later date will be Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. www.koldenfuneralhome.com
Agnes was born on August 24, 1921 in Rives County near Leslie, Michigan to Norman and Ezah (Eisentrager) Peacock. She graduated from Leslie High School in 1938 and Jackson Business University. For a short time she did financial accounting for a private entity in Michigan. She married Joe Milam on April 6, 1944 in Rolla, Missouri. Joe was a U. S. Army career soldier and they lived in Arizona, Michigan, Germany, Austria, Panama and other states in America. They retired in 1962 in Minnesota. They enjoyed many years traveling full-time in their Motor Coach in many states. Agnes helped plan events with Joe in relation to their involvement with the Family Motor Coach Association. Joe preceded her in death in 1998 and she retired to LeSueur to be near her family. Agnes was the epitome of a volunteer serving as treasurer of Treasures in Town, helping with the coffee shop and other areas of Ridgeview Hospital and Nursing Home and Sunrise Plaza. Agnes also was a devoted and very active member of the United Methodist Church. She was a chauffeur for her “old” friends. Survivors include her son, Larry (Maggie) Milam of LeSueur and Nancy (Tom) Skaro of Waconia. 6 Grandchildren, Marty (Sue) Milam, Mike Milam, Dan Milam, Anne (Eric) Lewis, Katie (Bob) Suko and Kelly (Kip) Lindman and 10 Great-grandchildren and 1Great-Great-Granddaughter.
