Agnes Wawrzyniak, age 85 of Belle Plaine passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at her home in Belle Plaine. Memorial Mass will be at 10:30a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Fr. Michael Kaluza will officiate. Mass will be livestreamed at ourladyoftheprairie.com Visitation will be from 5-7p.m. on Thursday at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Visitation will continue from 9-10a.m. Friday morning at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Agnes was born in Hutchinson on February 24, 1935 to Steven and Irene (Bognon) Juncewski. She grew up in Silver Lake and attended St. Adalbert Catholic School. On June 15, 1954 she married Louis Wawrzyniak at St. Albert Catholic Church in Silver Lake. Agnes was the head of quality control for Plastec for many years. She was a dedicated member of Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Agnes volunteered for many years at Queen of Peace Hospital. She loved Square Dancing & Polka and was proud to serve as 2004 King & Queen of PoLKofA. She enjoyed traveling and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Lucinda Pilarksi, and brothers Raymond & Felix Juncewski.
