Anna Seefeldt (nee Troeller) of Belle Plaine passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 20, at the age of 98 years. Anna was born November 12, 1917 in Rubicon, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arthur H. and Anna (nee Jorns) Troeller. She became a child of God through Holy Baptism at Trinity Lutheran Church, Huilsburg, Wisconsin. In this same church she married Gerhard W. Seefeldt on August 15, 1939. Gerhard and Anna farmed on the Seefeldt homestead in Herman Township until 1965. Anna enjoyed caring for her family and homemaking. In 1968 the family moved to Hartford, Wisconsin, where she worked at Broan Manufacturing until she retired. In 2000 Gerhard and Anna relocated to Lake Mills, Wisconsin. She was her husband's primary care partner for more than a decade until he passed away at the age of 93 in 2007. In 2008 she moved to Kingsway Retirement Living in Belle Plaine where she lived until her passing. Anna enjoyed singing at weddings with her sister, gardening, flowers, sewing, cooking and playing games while visiting with her family. She was active with volunteering and working with the service groups at the various churches she attended. Anna is survived by her children, Barb (Karl) Gurgel, Vic (Karen) Seefeldt, Curt (Char) Seefeldt and Kris Seefeldt; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Gerhard, their son Richard Seefeldt, her parents and her siblings, Arthur (Marcella) Troeller, Maria (B.W.) Jorns, and Erwin (Lucille) Troeller. The memorial service for Anna is Friday, Sept. 23, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 500 West Church Street, Belle Plaine, Pastor Timothy Redfield officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Hochheim Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Dodge County, Wisconsin, at a later date. The family suggests memorials be directed to The Lutheran Home Association (www.tlha.org), Belle Plaine, Minnesota.
