Bill Gatz

Bill Gatz, age 65, of Belle Plaine passed away on December 15, 2020.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

William Alan Gatz was born in Chicago, IL on May 27, 1955 to Robert and Geraldine (Hix) Gatz.  At a young age they moved to Minnetonka where Bill was confirmed at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Bill in his youth was very active in the Boy Scouts of America. He graduated from Benilde Catholic High School in 1973 and received an Associate Degree from Normandale Community College.  Bill continued his education while employed at the State Bank of Belle Plaine for 25 years; starting out as a teller and recently retiring as Vice President.  He loved cooking, skiing, golfing, hunting, and most of all fishing; spending most of his weekends at the family cabin.  Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Gatz and his step-mother, Marguerite Hessian-Gatz.

Bill is survived by his father, Robert Gatz,

sister, Mary, brothers, Paul and James, nieces and nephews.

Bill will be dearly missed by his family and friends who so loved him.
