Brady Sheldon Steffer, age 26 of rural Arlington, died late Friday night, March 12, as a result of a hunting accident. A public come-and-go visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 24th from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington. Current Covid guidelines require masking and social distancing. In lieu of hugs and handshakes, loving thoughts and prayers are requested instead. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Thursday at the church. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 25th at American Lutheran Church in Gaylord with interment to follow at the Arlington Public Cemetery. Service will be streamed live on American Lutheran Church Facebook.
Brady was born on March 14, 1994 to Brian and Sherry (Hoff) Steffer in Waconia, MN. He grew up in the Arlington area and graduated from Sibley East High School in 2013. He farmed with his father and worked for Pipestone Hog Operations. Brady enjoyed raising and talking about eachand every one of his various animals and had that special bond that all of his animals trusted. He especially enjoyed sharing his knowledge of his animals with kids when they came to visit. Brady loved working on the rat rods with his Dad and loved to say that the clouds in the sky are made from doing burnouts.
He is survived by his mother; Sherry (Kory) Klucking of Gaylord, MN; father, Brian Steffer and his special friend Lisa Holberg of Arlington, MN; Sisters; Heather (Jessie) Voges of Courtland, Hanna Steffer (Kevin Melgar) of Hutchinson, MN and his new nephew Colt Voges; Grandparents; Darlene Steffer of Arlington, MN and Gerald & Vernona Hoff of Hutchinson, MN. Also survived by his girlfriend Sally Feist of Arlington, MN. Many cousins, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Sheldon Steffer, Uncle John Glaw and Great-grandparents.
