Carol I. Peterson

Carol I. Peterson, age 82 of Belle Plaine, passed away on March 24, 2024 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine at 11 A.M. Visitation will be the morning of the service at the church from 9-11 A.M. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Belle Plaine. 

Carol was born on March 31, 1941 to Ewald and Edna Malz. She grew up in the East Union area and graduated from Chaska High School. She worked as a bookkeeper/secretary   for many years before becoming an activities coordinator at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine for over 20 years. She married Del Peterson on June 15, 1974.  

She volunteered for the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW in Belle Plaine. Carol loved to spend time outdoors, watching the birds, and going for walks. She loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.   

Carol is survived by her children, Debra Terwedo, David (Seo hee) Perkins, Jesse (Chris) Waters, and Lori (Tara) Palmquist, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, two sisters, Delores Weibel and Diane (Larry) Koniarski, also nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Daniel Perkins.
