Charlotte Ann Hardel, age 78 of Arlington, died Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the River’s Edge Hospital in St. Peter. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 1 at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington with Pastor Dan Ritter officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in the Arlington Public Cemetery.
Charlotte was born on March 1, 1941 to Lloyd and Lois (Davis) Elder in Mountain Lake, MN. She graduated from Brownton High School. She married Herman Hardel on July 14, 1962. Charlotte had worked for the Sibley County Developmental Achievement Center.
She is survived by her children, Greg (Lori) Hardel of Hutchinson, Tim (Kathy) Hardel of Arlington, Tammy (Dave) Heimkes of Emmett, Idaho, Dan (Amy) Hardel of Montgomery, and Tara (Jeff) Whitmore of Redwood Falls; grandchildren, Tanya (Chad) Hoffmann, Matt Hardel, Lia (Craig) Malecha, Michael (Stacie) Lehman, Nathan (Bethany) Hardel, Brielle (Simon) Pettit, Letitia (Ricky) Zodrow, Lindsay Heimkes, Lacie (Adam) Wright, Isaac Heimkes, Morgan (Calvin) Krajco, Luke Hardel, Allie Hardel, Jenna Whitmore, and Nicole Whitmore; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Martha (Bob) Miller, Merle Laird, Harold (Peggy) Elder, Mary Garoutte, Dave (Val) Elder, Les Elder, and Charles (Lisa) Elder; and many nieces and nephews.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman in ’96; and son, Rodney Hardel.
