Curtis I. Boeder Sr, age 86 of Arlington, MN died at the Good Samaritan Center in Arlington on Friday morning, June 25, 2021. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington, MN. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Arlington Public Cemetery, Arlington, MN.
Curtis was born on July 7, 1934, to Victor and Myrtle (Schultz) Boeder in Gibbon, MN. He attended country schools near Gibbon at a young age and later graduated from Gibbon High School in 1952. He married Betty Pieschke on April 30, 1955, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington, MN. He worked for many years at the Arlington Enterprise and later worked for almost 20 years for Webb Publishing in St. Paul where he retired in 1993. He was active with the Arlington Historical Society, was past Secretary and President of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arlington, and was active in the Arlington Lions Club. He and Betty enjoyed restoring antiques, gardening and time with family and friends.
Curtis Sr. is survived by his son, Curtis Jr. and his wife, Vickie Boeder of Chaska, MN.
Grandson: James and his wife Lynnette Boeder, with great-grandchildren Gabriel and Jessalynn;
Grandson: John and his wife Tessa Boeder, with great-grandchild; Henry.
Sister; Barbara Nicholaus of New Ulm, MN.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Wife, Betty in 2011 and his siblings; Floyd and Dick Boeder and LaVonne Boyum.
