Curtiss Lyle Mueller, 85, of Belle Plaine, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his lifelong home in Faxon Township on May 22, 2020. Due to current restrictions from COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date at East Union Lutheran Church, where Curt was a lifelong member.
Curt was born on his family farm in Faxon Township, Sibley County on April 18, 1935, to William and Ethelyn (Johnson) Mueller. He was drafted into the United States Army and then returned home to the family farm where he farmed crops, pigs, and beef and dairy cattle until his retirement in 2010. He enjoyed taking care of animals, and farming was a lifelong passion of his.
Curt enjoyed attending dances with his friends, and that is how he met his future wife, Norma. They were married on August 12, 1967, and raised two children together. In his free time, Curt enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, playing cards, listening to old time music, and traveling.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethelyn (Johnson) Mueller, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Curt is survived by his wife, Norma; daughters, Sheri (David) Prokosch of Belle Plaine and Michelle Mueller (Kam Jamshidi) of Shakopee; granddaughter, Morgan Prokosch; aunt, Lauretta Perkins of Le Sueur; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
