Dennis R. Overson

Dennis Overson, age 82 of Arlington passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the Arlington Good Samaritan Society. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 15th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Friday at the church. Burial will be at a later date.

Dennis was born on January 17, 1941 in Gaylord, MN to Raymond and Marie (Reed) Overson. He grew up farming on the family farm with his parents and graduated from Gaylord High School in 1959. Dennis married Diane Trebelhorn on June 15, 1963. He stuccoed houses and had a full time job at Farm Hand in Green Isle, MN. After they closed, he then went to work at Le Sueur Foundry Inc.

Dennis loved any type of hunting and fishing. He was an avid supporter of Ducks Unlimited and helped organize many DU banquets. He enjoyed the fellowship of AA.

Dennis is survived by his sons; Tony (Tammy) Overson of Litchfield, MN and Todd Overson of Arlington, MN.  Grandchildren; Amelia (Derrick) Bloedel and A.J. (Katie) Overson.  Great-Grandchildren; Henry & Lucas Bloedel and Elliana & Wesley Overson. Sisters; Karen (David) Ruehling, Lynn (Steve) Larson, and Jean Johnson. Sisters-in-law; Mary-Beth Overson, Sheila Overson, and Renee Overson.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Diane Overson, parents, brothers; Roger, Curt, Gary, and granddaughter Angela.
