Donald Schultz Obituary

Donald Frederick Schultz, age 59, of Loveland, CO, formerly of Belle Plaine, passed away on March 28, 2023 at his home after suffering a heart attack.

A memorial mass will be held in Belle Plaine, MN at Our Lady of the Prairie on June 7 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be before the mass beginning at 9 a.m.

He was born on June 29, 1963 to Lloyd and Lorraine Schultz.

Don grew up on the family farm outside of Belle Plaine, Minnesota. After graduating from Belle Plaine High School in 1981, he went on to Mankato State University where he graduated with a degree in parks and recreation. He spent several years managing Creekview and Longfellow Parks in Minneapolis before moving to Colorado in the mid 90’s.

While in Colorado, Don met the love of his life, Tara Sheahan, and they were married in the summer of 2000. Don and Tara were blessed with two sons, Aidan and Kellan.

Don was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He is sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Tara; his sons Aidan and Kellan; his mother Lorraine; his siblings, Doug (Carol), David (Sharon), Brad (Sue), Renee, Brian (Noreen) Schultz, and Jean (Eric) Johnson, all of Belle Plaine; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jim and Barbara Sheahan and their children.

Don was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd.
