Eldred D. Bach

Eldred D. Bach, 72 of Henderson died at his home peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2019.  Funeral service will be on Friday, November 22, 2019, 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior to service at First Lutheran Church, Le Sueur, MN. Visitation on Thursday, November 21, 4:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home, Le Sueur. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, Henderson, MN. 

Eldred was born on August 11, 1947 to Frederick & Anna (Zeier) Bach in Waconia, MN.  He grew up in the Green Isle area and graduated from Arlington-Green Isle High School. While attending school he was active on the wrestling team and held records for many years even after graduation. He was a member of Future Farmers of America in his younger years, and his family was part of the Lutheran Missouri Synod. Eldred worked for the Water Dept. for the city of Le Sueur, Le Sueur Cheese Co, Green Giant, and Carlson Craft Printing of Mankato.  He also enjoyed his time on his farm west of Henderson, MN and his family farm site in Green Isle, MN. He helped neighbors during the winter plowing driveways and farm repairs. Eldred and Sarah began their own family business in 1990 recycling scrap metal, which they ran until Sarah’s passing in 2008. Eldred married Sarah Pilk on September 19, 2007. 

In leu of flowers there has been a memorial fund set up at Hometown Bank in Henderson where funds can be donated to give Eldred the proper farmer send off. 

He is survived by his children; Duane (Michelle) Bach, Tamera (Sunil) Bach, Lisa (Jim) Klysen, Kristin (Aaron) Clark, Daniel (Jessica) Bach, Ann (Robert) Dodge, Eldred (Alexa) Bach Jr, Richard Bach, Jennifer Bach, James Bach, Kimberly (August) Bach-Westphal, Robin Bach, and Dana Bach. 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Sister, Sandra McCallister of Oregon. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sarah in 2008; Great-uncle, Clarence “Chap” Zeier and Uncle Alvin Bach, along with many other relatives, friends, and beloved pets.
