Erich Henry Bergemann

Erich Henry Bergemann, age 24 of Waseca died unexpectedly surrounded by family on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.  Visitation will be on Friday, July 15, 4:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. at the Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, MN and continue 1 hour prior to the memorial service on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow lunch at Mound Cemetery in Le Sueur, MN.

Erich was born on August 27, 1997 to Tony and Staci (Proehl) Bergemann in Mankato, MN. He graduated from Lake Crystal Welcome Memorial High School in Lake Crystal, MN in 2015 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. in 2016. Erich was known as a mechanic in the Marines and was honorably discharged in 2020.  He was attended vocational mechanic training and working at Kibble Implement in Owatonna, MN.

He was his own person, owned his quirks, loved hard and lived big. He loved surprises, big squeezes and terrible jokes. The smirks were frequent and smart ass remarks typically followed…when he wasn’t at a family event you could feel a hole. Our hearts break that this hole will last forever. We all will hold the memories of your big grin and your big heart forever and always.

Survived by his parents, Tony and Staci (Proehl) Bergemann of Lake Crystal, MN siblings Evan and Ellie Bergemann of Lake Crystal, MN. Girlfriend Annalise and her son Brantley of Waseca, MN. Grandmother Ronnie Bergemann of Lake Crystal, MN.  Aunts; Heidi (Charlie) McCone, Megan (Mark) Lange, Kari (T.J.) Smith and Amy (Carl) Peterson.  Many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Henry & Deanna Proehl and  Erich Bergemann.  Aunt Tara Fredericksen and uncle Peter Proehl.
