Florence Myrtle (Brenke) Gordon

Florence M. Gordon, age 99 of Le Sueur, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the Oak Terrace Senior Living in Le Sueur.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur, with a one hour prior visitation at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Brown Cemetery, Henderson. 

Florence was born on January 1, 1920 to Henry and Mae (Ridd) Brenke in Le Sueur.  She was born and grew up on the family farm.  She moved out West as a young adult, living in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho to name a few.  Florence enjoyed traveling and sightseeing, especially on the West Coast.  Once Florence got in to her late 80s she decided to finally come back home to Minnesota. 

She is survived by her sons, Conley (Laura) Mediger of Le Sueur and Les Mediger of Henderson; grandchildren, Steven (Brooke) Mediger, Mark (Pam) Mediger, Jeff Mediger, and Anessa Mediger; many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elsie Robinson of Idaho; and many nieces and nephews.

Florence is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jolene Mediger; sisters, Marcella Schmid and Nancy Guthrie; and brother, Lester “Bud” Brenke.
