Geraldine "Geri" Weber

Geraldine “Geri” F. Weber, age 90 of Arlington, formerly of Jessenland,died on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Golden Hearts in Arlington, MN.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 13, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Arlington, MN.  Visitation will be held at  Kolden Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. ~ 10:30 a.m. prior to mass.  Lunch to follow after mass in the Church Social Hall followed by burial at St. Thomas~Jessenland Cemetery in Sibley County.  Monsignor Eugene Lozinski will officiate the services.

Geri was born on January 11, 1933, to Joseph and Lillie (Arlt) Gildea in Waseca, MN.  She grew up in Glencoe and graduated from Glencoe High School.  She moved with her family to Minneapolis after high school and worked as a bookkeeper for the Shriner’s Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.  She married Allie Weber on November 3, 1956, at St. Helena Catholic Church in S. Minneapolis, MN.  She was a homemaker on the family farm in Jessenland Township. In later years, she worked at Emma Krumbee’s in Belle Plaine and in the kitchen at Auburn Manor in Waconia.  Geri was active in many events at the St. Thomas Church, Jessenland.  She enjoyed  time with family, friends and the Jessenland community.

Geri is survived by her children: John of  Barstow, CA; Ann (Stephen) Wiener of St. Louis Park, MN; Nancy Helm of Edina, MN; Mary Marconi of Naples, FL; Janet (Steve) Geib of Arlington, MN; Peter (Shannon) Weber of Henderson, MN and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Weber of Henderson, MN. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law: Marlene Gildea of Arlington, MN. 

She is preceded in death by her husband: Allie; son: Brian; and her parents: Joseph and Lillie; brother: Jerome Gildea; and sister: Janet (Otto) Krueger.
