Glen A. Schauer

Glen A. Schauer, age 85 of Arlington passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Golden Hearts Senior Living Center in Arlington. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 3rd at Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will be in the  Arlington Public Cemetery.

Glen was born on December 21, 1936 at Union Hospital in New Ulm, the youngest child of Arthur and Meta Schauer. He was baptized on December 22, 1936 and confirmed on May 28, 1950. He married Elaine Studeman on October 25, 1958 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. Glen was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Arlington Township. Glen farmed in Kelso Township and worked for Big Stone and Seneca Foods. He also worked for J & P Farm Supply, Quast Amoco and did custom swathing for farmers.

Glen is survived by his son Gordon Schauer, daughter-in-law Marlys Schauer and step-grandson Matthew Burmeister. He is preceded in death by his wife Elaine on April 14, 1996, his parents and his siblings, Gerald Schauer and Vernon Schauer.
