Jeanette Gerres, age 87 of rural Belle Plaine, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30a.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Fr. Michael Kaluza will officiate. Visitation will be from 9-10:30a.m. at the church prior to the Mass. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Jeanette Myrtle Molkenbur was born in Shakopee on April 7, 1936 to Harvey and Irene (Menden) Molkenbur. She grew up near Spring Lake. She married Charlie Theis on January 10, 1953. They were blessed with two children, Carrie and Ken. Charlie tragically passed away on October 17, 1955. Jeanette then married Ron Gerres on July 21, 1957. Ron and Jeanette were blessed with five children – Ron Jr. “Fran”, Connie, Bruce, Brenda and Richard. They moved to rural Belle Plaine in 1970 where they farmed and raised their family. She enjoyed working on the farm, watching birds on her bird feeders, gardening, baking, cooking and spending time with her family. Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Irene (Menden) Molkenbur, first husband Charlie Theis, brother Wayne Molkenbur, sister Phyllis Pieper, and brother-in-laws Lenny Pieper and Dick LaTour and parents in law Matt and Mary Gerres.

Step-Grandchildren Dan (Megan) Chard, Amy (Ryan) Nash and Jen (Ryan) Remmers. 32 Great Grandchildren, 8 Step- Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild.
