Jeritt D. Piotter, age 50 of Cologne died Monday, February 8, 2021 in Dahlgren Township, Carver County from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 12th at Peace Lutheran Church in Arlington. Services will be livestreamed on the Peace Lutheran Facebook page at Facebook.com/.peacearlington. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11th at Peace Lutheran Church, continuing one hour prior to service time Friday. Interment with military honors will follow the funeral service at the Arlington Public Cemetery. Covid-19 guidelines including masking, social distancing and reduced capacity at the church will be observed.
Jeritt was born on April 20, 1970 in Arlington to Donald and Mary (Dahlke) Piotter. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. He attended grade school at St. Paul’s Lutheran School and then attended Arlington–Green Isle High School, graduating in 1989. He enlisted and served in the Minnesota National Guard. He currently worked for the City of Minneapolis Department of Public Works. Jeritt loved fishing and the hospitality that went along with it. He was a member of Flags and Honor in Chaska.
Jeritt is survived by his fiancé, Michele Beers; children, Tyler Piotter (special friend Carolyn), Alison Piotter (special friend David), and Courtney Beers; parents, Don and Mary Piotter; siblings, Jackie (Mark) Lieske, and Jon (Sara) Piotter, nephew and nieces, Dylan (Katherine), Nicole, Greta and Sophia; great niece, Avarie. Jeritt is preceded in death by a nephew, Quentin Lieske.
Casket bearers for the funeral are: Jon Piotter, Jason Banaszewski, Anthony Cantazaro, Lyle Schlueter, Dylan Lieske, Mark Lieske.
