Joan Lucille Heinz, age 92 of LeSueur and formerly of Henderson, Minnesota died on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Oak Terrace in LeSueur, Minnesota. She was born on June 7, 1928 in Faribault, Minnesota to Roney and Lillian (Andersen) Kroehler.
Joan graduated from Henderson High School and Minnesota University in Mankato. Joan taught elementary school in District 9 Sibley County, Waconia and Green Isle for 6 years and 30 years in Henderson, Minnesota, retiring in 1985.
She married Marvin “Fritzie” Heinz on September 6, 1952 at St. Paul’s UCC in Henderson. He preceded her in death in 1980. Joan was a library supervisor in Henderson at the public library and was a life-time member of St. Paul’s UCC in Henderson where she was active in the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed bowling, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Heinz of Blooming Prairie, sister-in-law, Marjorie Kroehler, 21 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband in 1980, and brothers, Charles, John and Roger Kroehler.
Private Family Memorial services will be postponed until Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Henderson because of the impending snowstorm. There will be a time of visitation for friends and relatives from 10 a.m. until services time on Saturday. Interment will be in the Brown Cemetery in Henderson.
