John J. Schneider

John J. Schneider, age 79 of Le Sueur died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday morning, November 13, 2018.  Memorial services will be at the Kolden Funeral Home, Le Sueur on Saturday, November 17, 2018, 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home the morning of the services.  Lunch to follow immediately at St. Anne’s School, Le Sueur, MN.

John was born on June 8, 1939 to John and Angeline (Boldt) Schneider in Henderson, MN.  He grew up in Henderson and graduated from Henderson High School in 1957.  John spent a short time in the Army Reserve and worked road construction.  He married Paulette “Polly” Baltes on December 10, 1966 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan, MN.  In the early 80’s he began his own industrial cleaning business, John’s Janitorial Services.  He did this for many years before retiring in 2001.  He has worked part-time since his retirement when health permitted him to do so.  John enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and enjoyed fixing things in his shed. 

John is survived by his wife, Polly; two children, Jeff Schneider of Garfield, Arkansas and Karri (Peter) Anderson of St. Peter, MN.  Grandchildren; Kelsey Anderson & friend Jeremy Henke of Gaylord, MN; Lexi Anderson and her friend Yuriy Malashenko of New Prague, MN; Betheny Anderson of Minneapolis, MN and Jacob Anderson of St. Peter.  Sisters; Ruth Weimer of St. Paul, MN and Stella (Lowell) Swanberg of Apopka, FL.  Many nieces, nephews and in-laws.  He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Helen Felrath, Freda Scarrcitelli, Albert Schneider, Joseph Schneider, Ben Schneider, Herman Schneider and Charles Schneider.
