Joyce A. Rannow

Joyce A. Rannow, age 81 of Gibbon, formerly of the Henderson area, died on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, MN. Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Henderson, MN.  Visitation will be that morning at church from 9:30 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m.  Lunch to follow in church basement.  Rev. Robert Fellows will officiate the services.

Joyce was born on March 18, 1942 to Oscar and Eleanor (Nelson) Holmquist in Judson, MN.  She grew up in the Belle Plaine area and graduated from Belle Plaine High School.  She married Virgil Rannow on July 14, 1962 at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur.  A side from raising her large family, she worked at Telex, (ADC) for many years and later with a printing company in Chaska, MN.  She enjoyed camping, fishing and especially visiting with other campers and time with family.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Virgil of Gibbon, MN; Children; Tammy (Bob) Swart of Henderson; Debbi Chavis and her fiancée Jack Morais of Northfield, MN; Lori (Jeff) Wolff of Belle Plaine, MN; Mike Rannow of Gibbon and Virgil Jr. (Shawna) Rannow of Shakopee, MN.  23 grandchildren and 32 Great-grandchildren.   Sisters; Elaine Petter of Anoka, MN Irene Koepp of Shakopee, MN and Judy Holmquist , of Cross Lake, MN.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Norman and Ivan Holmquist, and daughter, Shelly Westland.
