Karilyn Danielson Obituary

Karilyn “Kay” Rose Danielson (Wilber), returned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 26th, 2021.  Kay was born to William “Elliott” and Viola Wilber on October 3, 1939, in Butte, Montana.  Kay was the second oldest of four girls.  After high school, Kay attended Mankato State College and received her teaching degree.  On August 29, 1959, she married Vincent Orlando Danielson in Saint Paul, MN.  They went on to have three children, Cory, Ruth, and Joni.  Kay was a loving mother, grandma, great-grandma, and friend.  She was an outstanding prayer warrior.  She fervently prayed for everyone.  She and Vince spent many years dedicating their lives to the mission work in Honduras, sharing the love of Jesus Christ.  She enjoyed spending lots of family time at the cabin.  She loved their Arizona home and tending to her beautiful, prized roses.  Visits from her kids, grandkids, and “great grands” (as she would say), were among some of her favorite pastimes. She loved Jesus and had a passion for sharing the gospel with others. She and Vince built their home rooted in a firm, Godly foundation and led by example.  She will be dearly missed by all her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is now finally at peace with her Creator.  Kay is survived by her son, Cory (Cheryl) Danielson; daughters, Ruth (Jim) Brinker and Joni (Jeff) Clarke;  Grandchildren, Ashley (Tylon) Reetz, Stacia (Aaron) Simons, Catherine, Maddie and Emma Brinker, Zach and Brianna Clarke; and great-grandchildren, Reagan and Weston Reetz, Maryiah, Hank and Rhett Simons;  Siblings,  Susan Peterson and Mary (David) Bentley and many nieces and nephews.  She is proceeded in death by her husband, Vince Danielson; parents, William “Elliott” and Viola Wilber, and sister, Gerry Dailey.  A celebration of Kay’s life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Creekside Community Church in Arlington.  Visitation at 3 pm and Service at 4 pm.  Followed by burial at the city of Arlington Public Cemetery and dinner reception at Creekside Community Church.
