Kermit C. Heldberg, age 90 of Le Sueur died on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Le Sueur, MN. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 28, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur and one hour prior to services, (with restrictions). Funeral service will be on Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur. Due to restrictions with COVID~19 crisis, no more than 25 people in the funeral home during visitation and 10 people restricted to funeral service. Mask are recommended.

Kermit was born on June 20, 1929 to Walter and Alma (Papke) Heldberg in Ottawa Township, Le Sueur County. He grew up in the Ottawa Township area and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1947. He married Lucille Jones on September 20, 1950 at the United Methodist Church in Le Sueur, MN. The couple lived, farmed, worked and raised their family on the family farm in Ottawa Township. Kermit was an active member at the United Methodist Church, Le Sueur and on the Board of Trustees for the church. Ottawa Township Board for 44 years, (6 years as Assessor); 15 years on the Le Sueur Farmers Elevator Board; Le Sueur Saddle Club for 46 years; many years on the Le Sueur County Fair Board and member of Pioneer Power from many years. Kermit was very proud the of family farm and enjoyed his time with family and friends.

Survived by his children; Dan (Laurie) Heldberg of Le Sueur and Jane (Scott) Wiese of Le Sueur. Grandchildren; Nicki (P.J.) Somers and Cody Wiese. Great-grandchildren; Gage and Ally Somers, Step-grandchildren; Ron Dodge, Kim (Junior) Hernandez and Robert (Ann) Dodge, Step-great-grandchildren; Shyann Somers, Frank (Aylin) Hernandez, Sabrina Hernandez, Josie Hernandez and Rayna, Rachel, Raegan and Nevaeh Dodge.

Brother; Daryl (Marva) Heldberg, brother-in-law; Wilbur (Veryl) Jones, sister-in-law, Kathy (Marv) Novotny, Darline Jones and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lucille in 1996; brothers, Quintin, Charles and William. Step-great-grandson, Francisco Rey Hernandez.
