November 28, 1937 ~ October 9, 2023 (age 85) 85 Years Old
LaVerne Muehlenhardt, age 85 of Belle Plaine, passed away on October 9, 2023 at Kingsway Retirement Living in Belle Plaine. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 12 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday morning. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Belle Plaine. LaVerne’s family would like to thank the staff at Kingsway for their excellent care.
LaVerne was born on November 28, 1937 in Jessenland Township, Sibley County to Herold and Viola (Mueller) Hafemann. Her family lived near Arlington, then moved to Belle Plaine when she was seven. She graduated from Dr. Martin Luther High School. She married Ronald Muehlenhardt on April 12, 1956 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. The couple lived and farmed in Blakeley Township from 1956-1980, when they moved to Henderson. LaVerne worked for many years at Telex and later ADC in Le Sueur. She was an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ron in 2016, her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Lois Hafemann, brother-in-law Louis Stier, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Eugene and Beverly Muehlenhardt. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Jennifer Weber.
She is survived by her children: Michael (Brenda) of Cottonwood, Steven Muehlenhardt of Green Isle, Lee (Mary) Muehlenhardt of Belle Plaine and Michelle (Patrick) Skramstad of St. Peter, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
