Lamona L. Phillips

Lamona L. Phillips, age 70 of Henderson, MN, died at her home on Sunday, February 2, 2020.  Memorial services will be on Saturday, February 8 at 4:00 p.m at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-4 p.m.

Lamona was born on June 11, 1949 in St. Paul, MN to Roger and Loretta (Trick) Tiegs.  She grew up in Henderson, MN and graduated from Henderson High School in 1967.  She began a 40 year career in 1968 with the Minnesota State Hospital in St. Peter as a Control Center Clerk.  She married Tom Phillips at the Episcopal Church in St. Peter on November 1, 1969.  The couple lived in Henderson for many years.   Lamona enjoyed going to the North Shore with Tom, gardening, flower arranging, decorating, and playing the penny slots at Grand Casino in Mille Lacs, MN.  

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tom; son Brandon Phillips of Le Sueur; daughter, Paula Phillips of Henderson; grandson, Conner Meyer of Mankato; brother, Randy Tiegs of Henderson; sister, Lois (Ron) Schroeder of Henderson; brother-in-law, Mark Phillips of Le Sueur; sister-in-law, Bonnie Phillips of Le Center; and other relatives and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, Jim Phillips.
