Larry Walter Teschendorf, age 72, formerly of Henderson - Le Sueur, Minnesota passed away on August 1, 2023, in Apache Junction, Arizona. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Henderson, Minnesota at 11 A.M. Rev. Bob Broeder will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 A.M. until the Memorial Service begins at 11 A.M. Burial to follow the service at Brown Cemetery in Henderson. Luncheon to follow burial.
Larry was born on November 6, 1950 to Walter and Gertrude (Steinborn) Teschendorf in Henderson, Minnesota where he grew up and graduated from. He married his wife Althea J. Wendorff on September 27, 1975 in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Henderson, Minnesota. They purchased their first home in Henderson, then built 2 homes in Le Sueur. Later, they resided in Apache Junction, Arizona.
Larry worked many different jobs in his younger life and made his career at Le Sueur Incorporated for 44 years. He retired in January of 2016. After retirement, he enjoyed doing lawn service and handyman services for others. Larry and Althea enjoyed country dancing, camping, going on vacation, and making many wonderful friends. Larry absolutely loved horses, especially his horse, “Rusty”.
Larry is survived by his wife, Althea, brother-in-law, Floyd Buck, sisters, Delpha (Albert Jr.) Passon and Marilyn (Harvey) Lund, brothers, Dennis and Ricky Teschendorf, sisters-in-law, Ila Mae Anderson, Karen Culbert, Shelby Beseke, and Cheryl Anderson, brothers-in-law, Cyrus Wendorff (Special friend, Darlyn), Marlin (Susie) Wendorff, and Gerald Wendorff (Special friend, Marianne), many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great-great nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Gertrude, sisters, Geralene (Teschendorf) Buck and Sandra (Teschendorf) Hacker, sister-in-law, Beatrice Trout, and nephews, David Wendorff, Tommy Beseke, Jr., and Bradley Wendorff.
