Lois Mae Willmsen, age 88 of Arlington died on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at The Good Samaritan Society in Arlington, MN. Private memorial service will be on Saturday, June 27, at the United Methodist Church, Arlington, MN followed by burial at Arlington Public Cemetery. Pastor Michael Baker will officiate the services. Lois was born on November 15, 1931 to Erwin Sr. & Evelyn (Schmidt) Geib in Arlington. She grew up in Arlington and attended and graduated from Arlington High School in 1949. She married Allen “Shorty” Willmsen on September 5, 1953 at the Methodist Church in Arlington, MN. She worked for 18 years at the Doherty Jewelry store in Arlington and 7 years at Dales Foods in Arlington. She later became self-employed doing painting, staining and wallpapering. Lois enjoyed bowling, golfing, shopping, ice fishing and spending time with friends. She truly loved time with her family. She was a very generous wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a true example of how to love, laugh and live life to the fullest.
She is survived by her husband, Allen “Shorty” Willmsen; Children; Vicki (Duane) Stock of Arlington, MN and son Terry Willmsen of Victoria, MN. Grandchildren, Mike (Beth) Stock and Nikki Stock. Great-grandchildren; Ali & Lexy Stock and Leyton Dose. In-laws; Carol Goebel of Shakopee and Connie (Steve) Truttman of Hager City, WI., and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Herb and Ella Willmsen, brother & sister-in-law, Erwin, Jr. (Vonny) Geib and brother-in-Law, Charles Goebel
