Marlene Schultz Obituary

Marlene Schultz, age 85, of Montgomery (formerly of Belle Plaine, Aitkin, and Eagan) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 6, 2020.

Marlene was born May 10, 1935, in Sturgeon Bay, WI to Harold and Margaret Wiesner. Marlene married William (Bill) Schultz on December 4, 1954.

While raising her family, Marlene was able to share her knowledge and love of flowers by managing Nedved’s Flowers in Eagan for 20 years.

After retirement, Bill and Marlene moved to a lake home in Aitkin and lived there for 7 years before moving to Belle Plaine to be closer to their family. Together they also spent almost 20 years wintering in Lake Havasu City, AZ.

Marlene loved her family very much. Her Grandchildren were her world and she enjoyed attending the all of their concerts, recitals, plays, 4-H county fair competitions, and sporting events and would cheer proudly from the audience. Marlene was an active member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine and the Lion’s Club. She also volunteered her time with several organizations including the local Food Shelf, Library, Home to Home Thrift Store, and Meals on Wheels.

Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Bill, who passed away just 62 short days before her; Forever loved and remembered by her children Dale (Michele) Schultz of Savage, Diane (Troy) Domine of Le Center; Grandchildren Erich, Drew, Greg, Laura, Adria, Garrett, Gunner, Tayte; Great Grandchildren Blake, Titus, Brinley, Weston.

Due to Covid-19, a celebration of Marlene’s life will be held at a later date. Condolences can be left at www.koldenfh@yahoo.com and cards can be mailed to Kolden Funeral Home, 219 N Willow Street, Belle Plaine, MN 56011 and will be distributed to the family.
