Michael Francis Bigaouette was born on December 24, 1951 in Shakopee to Leo and Marilyn (Krueger) Bigaouette. He was a 1970 graduate of Belle Plaine High School. Mike served his country during the Vietnam Era in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. Mike was honorably discharged in 1972 from the Army and started dairy and crop farming with his father on the family farm. He met the love of his life, Mary Ann Laabs in 1975 and just one year later they were married on November 6, 1976 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. They continued to work the family farm and raised 5 children. Mike took great pride in the life he built with his wife and kids.
