Richard “Rich” Allen Chevalier, age 70 of LeSueur and formerly of Liberal, Kansas and Arlington, Minnesota died peacefully on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at the Mayo Hospital in New Prague, Minnesota after a valiant fight with leukemia. Memorial services will be held at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington, Minnesota on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 11 a.m.. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Arlington.
Richard was born on August 18, 1950 in Gaylord,, MN to Francis and Adella (Kutz) Chevalier. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Arlington. Rich was a pilot for many years and most recently for Lyddon Aero of Liberal, Kansas. He liked aviation and particularly loved golf, whether it was playing the game, hitting a few balls on a day off or hiking in the rough retrieving lost balls. He also loved eating out at numerous restaurants. Rich enjoyed hiking, bicycling, meeting people, working with engines and studying the history of local areas. Rich was known to be a conservative spender and having a big heart for anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, David (Char) Chevalier of Henderson and Howard (Linda) Chevalier of LeSueur as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends.
