Obituary
Roy A. Farr, age 94 of Arlington, formerly of the Metro area, died at the Golden Hearts residence in Arlington, MN on Friday, may 19, 2023. Arrangements will be at a later time in the Brainerd area.
Roy was born on November 5, 1928 to Floyd and Blanche (Carney) Farr in Sebeka, MN. He graduated from Sebeka High School and later served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Grace Sticha on June 6, 1953. The couple lived in Northern Minnesota in the early 50’s and moved to the Hopkins area in 1958. He worked as a foreman for the Minnesota Dept. of Transportation for about 38 years, retiring at 58 years old. The couple retired to the Arlington area in 2002. They both were a part of and enjoyed the Laden Lamp Club. They enjoyed their time with family and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Grace; Sons; Alan (Cindy) Farr of Casa Grande, AZ; Brad Farr of Henderson, MN; Chris (Denise) Farr of Casa Grande, AZ and Darwin Farr of Excelsior, MN. Grandchildren; Just Farr, Melissa Farr and her fiancee Tyler and Christine Johnson and four great-grandchildren. Sister, Ardis Paulson of Brainerd, MN.
He is preceded in death by his son, Greggory in 2017.
