Salomei “Sally” Becker, age 97, was born August 2, 1926 in Le Sueur County to Frank and Anna Plonske. She died August 7, 2023 at Oak Terrace Senior Living facility in Le Sueur, MN. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Le Sueur, MN on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. C.C.W. Rosary will take place at 9:15 A.M. before the visitation. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Following Mass, burial will be held in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Le Sueur. Fr. Chris Shofner will officiate the Mass and burial services. Luncheon to follow the burial at St. Anne’s School.
Sally graduated from Le Sueur High School and Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. She worked and did clerical office work at the Hartford Insurance Company and also at Green Giant in Le Sueur and Minneapolis. She married George Becker on June 2, 1949 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lexington.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband George, son Greg, three brothers, Stan, Isidore and Francis, sister Florence and three sisters-in-law.
Survivors include daughters, Pat Sime of Waunakee, WI, Barb Monahan of Winona, MN, and Mary Jo (Tom) Garrity of St. Paul, MN. Six grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.
