Tamara Kaye Strei was born on July 8, 1964 at the Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia. She was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie on July 26, 1964 and confirmed there on March 19, 1978 by Pastor Charles Wind. Her confirmation verse was John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Tami went on to graduate from the Lester Prairie Public School in 1982. During her high school years she was a cheerleader and worked parttime at the local grocery store. After graduation she worked at Wendt Laboratories in Henderson and also took a class for nurses aid training. It was during that time that she was diagnosed with Lupus.
On May 26, 1984 Tami married Michael Battcher. This marriage was truly blessed with a daughter, Nicole, who was born on June 19, 1986. In September of 1991 Tami married Wade Robinson. During this period of her life she suffered serious injuries in a snowmobile accident and her health began to deteriorate rapidly. During her working days Tami was a hard worker. She worked as an EMT at the LeSueur nursing home, the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, Hubbard in LeSueur and Malt-O-Meal in Northfield.Tami passed away on July 7, 2022, one day before her 58th birthday after many years of pain, doctor visits, surgeries and hospitalizations.

Tami is survived by her daughter Nicole Otto and her husband Jeremy Otto, parents Kenneth and Karen Strei, Sister Tanya Mathews and her husband Wayne Mathews and the best friend anyone could ever have on this earth, Michelle Hale.
