Terry J. Winters

Terry J. Winters, age 60 of Le Sueur died unexpectantly at his home on Monday, May 6, 2019.  Celebration Mass will be on Monday, May 13, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church, Le Sueur, MN.  Visitation will be on Sunday, May 12, 2019, 3:00 p.m. ~ 6:00 p.m. at the Kolden Funeral Home in Le Sueur.  Visitation will continue on Monday morning at church from 10:00 ~ 11:00 a.m.  Lunch to follow at St. Anne’s School in Le Sueur. 

Terry was born on July 25, 1958 in Glencoe, MN to Eugene and Dorothy (Trimbo) Winters.  He moved to Le Sueur at a young age in 1963 and attended St. Anne’s School and as a teenager, worked at the Le Sueur Theatre and seasonal work at Green Giant in Le Sueur.  He graduated from Le Sueur High School and received his technical training in Mankato, Minnesota.  He worked for his Father at Winters Plumbing and Heating.  Terry married Jody Krenz at the Little Brown Church in Nashua Iowa on January 26, 1990.  After his Father’s death, he and Jody continued to operate Winters Plumbing and Heating.  Terry enjoyed his time working in his yard, going to the lake, traveling and riding his motorcycle with Jody.  Time with his family and especially with his granddaughter, Hailee was very special to him.

He was passionate about his business.  He was dedicated to his customers who he considered his second family and his customers returned his loyalty. He enjoyed working with his fellow contractors.  He relished conversations with his brothers and any of his 5 minute conversations with all of these people could turn into a half hour or longer chat.

He is survived by his wife, Jody; sons; Bryan Winters of St. Peter, Adam Winters of Le Sueur and granddaughter, Hailee Winters.  Brothers; Bill (Janel) Winters of Brooklyn Park, MN and Dale (Jan) Winters of Le Sueur, MN.   Father-in-law; Herbert Krenz of Le Sueur and brothers-in-law; Gerald (Ruth) Krenz of Blaine, MN, Tim Krenz of Le Sueur and Richard (Jen) Krenz of Mankato, MN.  Many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Gene and Dorothy and mother-in-law, Betty Krenz.
