Tom was born on November 22, 1941 to Martin and Marie (Berger) Morrison in Arlington. He grew up on the family farm in Faxon Twp., Sibley County, and graduated from the Belle Plaine High School in 1959. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard until 1962. He married Colleen Weldon at Sacred Heart Church in Belle Plaine. Tom worked as a forklift operator for 34 years in the Savage and Shakopee areas. Tom and Colleen traveled west and enjoyed many trips to National Parks, including Glacier and Yellow Stone. Tom enjoyed hunting; he would hunt deer and elk in Wyoming, and deer and pheasant in Iowa. His hunting group consisted of his son, nephew Steve, God-child Barry O’Brien, Jeremy O’Brien, and his black lab. He loved going ‘Up North’ fishing on Hay Lake with his family, especially with his grandson, Cade. Tom also enjoyed watching his son’s, grandson’s and nephew’s baseball games.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen; son, Brian (Julie) Morrison of Belle Plaine; grandson, Cade Morrison; brother, Don (Judy) Morrison of Belle Plaine; sisters, Joan (David) Pint of New Prague and Pat Kamps of Mankato; brothers-in-law, Doug (MaryBeth) Weldon and Chris (Betty) Weldon; sister-in-law, Kathy (Terry) Logelin; and many nieces and nephews.
