Toby Meyer Obituary

Toby Lee Meyer, 54, of Le Sueur, MN, passed away unexpectedly in a car accident in Arizona on November 19th, 2020. A celebration of life is planned for June 12th 2021.

Toby was born in Gaylord, MN on October 21st 1966, to LeRoy and Lois (Spellman) Meyer. Toby grew up attending school in Gaylord, Arlington, and Le Sueur.  He graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1985.  He enlisted in the Army and received an honorable discharge. Toby worked at Car-Co of Belle Plaine and various NAPA Auto Part stores before and after making a career change as a trucker for Klingberg Trucking. Toby married the love of his life Mary on November 26, 2008. Toby loved his family more than life itself. Toby babysat a few of his grandchildren the entire first year of their lives, and he loved nothing more than being a Grandpa. Toby loved helping anybody/anywhere he could. Toby loved all kinds of sports, especially his Dallas  Cowboys.  He loved hunting and fishing, riding motorcycles, and classic cars--especially his patriotic Red, White and Blue Corvette.  Toby enjoyed life and loved being with people.  Toby lived in Le Sueur and wintered in Arizona where he made numerous life-long friendships.  He was beloved by so many, and will be greatly missed.

Toby is survived by his wife Mary Ellen (Osborne), his children Logan Meyer and Ashley (Tyler) Brahee, parents LeRoy and Lois Meyer, stepsons  Steven (Laurel) Sturlaugson and Charlie Sturlaugson (Tina), his brother Tory (Tracy) Meyer, sister Tracy (Todd) Huetteman, sisters-in-law  Donna (Richard) Rabais and Geri (Mike) Clairmont and brother-in-law Rick (Matti) Osborne, grandchildren, Brenley (7), Landyn (5), Oliver (6), Taylor (3), Carter (9), and Alex (7), aunts and uncles Dennis (Sue) Meyer, Dennis Spellman, Gail Spellman, Karen Spellman, Donald Swenson, many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear freinds, and his furry companions - Boxers Lucy and Levi.
