Todd Allen Trcka

Todd Allen Trcka, age 57 of rural Belle Plaine, died at his home following his third battle with cancer on Sunday evening, February 26, 2023.  A celebration of his life and time of sharing will be on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine from 3:00 p.m. ~ 6:00 p.m. 

Todd was born on February 6, 1966 in Faribault, MN to Gloria (Miller) Trcka.  He grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Montgomery-Lonsdale High School in 1984.  He joined the Army National Guard in 1983 and served 12 years with the 434th Chemical Company in Northfield, MN.  He retired as a Staff Sargent, E6.  While in the Army National Guard he had a career with ADC and completed his secondary education at Hennepin Technical College. He ended his 38-year career with ADC/TE Connectivity/Commscope as a machinist in Shakopee, MN.  

He married Carrie Jackson on April 19, 1986 at American Lutheran Church in Gaylord, MN.  The couple raised their son, Nicolas near Belle Plaine, MN.  Todd enjoyed fishing and time with his family and especially his two grandchildren.  His greatest joy was going on vacation with his family to Lake Winnibigoshish.

He is survived by his wife Carrie; son, Nicolas Trcka and wife Emily of Rosemount, MN; grandson, Jameson (5) and granddaughter, Conley (2).  Mother, Gloria Trcka of Montgomery and sister, Tamara Trcka of Burnsville, MN.  Father-in-law, Harold Jackson of Gaylord, MN and Brothers-in-laws; Charles (Lynn) Jackson of Georgia; Douglas (Amy) Jackson of Waseca, MN and Kevin (Brenda) Jackson of Windom, MN.  Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other beloved relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother in-law Audrey Jackson, step mother in-law, Delores Jackson, nephew Chase Jackson, grandparents, uncles and aunts.
