Vincent “Vince” Orlando Danielson, 85, Arlington, returned to his heavenly home on Sunday, May 10, 2020, after a three-year long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Vince was born to Fred and Irene Danielson in Webster, Wisconsin, on Dec. 15, 1934. Vince was blessed to be born into a large and loving family. He was the second oldest of eight children. In 1955 at the age of 21, Vince joined the U.S. Army where he served for two years. On Aug. 29, 1959, he married Karilyn Rose Danielson in Saint Paul. They went on to have three children, Cory, Ruth and Joni.
Vince took pride in his farmland in southern Minnesota and continued to always have a love for the land and farming. He and Kay dedicated many years to mission work in Honduras and Alaska, sharing the love of Jesus Christ. In his retirement years, he could always be found tinkering on a project in his shop, spending time at the cabin or enjoying an orange from his favorite tree at their Arizona home.
He was a faithful loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved Jesus and had a passion of sharing the gospel with others; that was what was most important to him. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is finally at peace with his creator.
Vince is survived by his loving wife, Kay; his son, Cory (Cheryl) Danielson; daughters, Ruth (Jim) Brinker and Joni (Jeff) Clarke; grandchildren, Ashley (Tylon) Reetz, Stacia (Aaron) Simons, Catherine, Maddie and Emma Brinker, and Zach and Brianna Clarke; and great-grandchildren, Reagan and Weston Reetz, and Maryiah, Hank and Rhett Simons; siblings, Curt (Barb) Danielson, Roland (Bonnie) Danielson, Charlotte Buck, Ione (Donnie) Johnson-Priest, Beulah (Mel) Sullivan, Gail (Vince) Trujillo, and Pam (Mike) Bishop; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Irene Danielson; and brothers-in-law, Virgil Buck and Dale Johnson.
The family will be a hosting a private burial and ceremony. Blessed be his memory.
