Viola "Vi" Kroehler

Viola M. Kroehler, age 85 of Henderson passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Bloomington, MN, surrounded by her family.

Viola was born on November 1, 1934 to Theodore and Edna (Bach) Schrank in Kelso Township, Sibley County.  She grew up in the Le Sueur area and attended Le Sueur schools.  She married Charles Kroehler on December 11, 1954 at Zion United Church of Christ in Le Sueur.  The couple together raised their six children on the family farm west of Henderson.  Viola did secretarial work for Green Giant for many years until the early 80’s and then worked for Ross-Nesbit Insurance Agency until her retirement in 2005.  Viola enjoyed reading, bowling, playing cards, family vacations, and especially time with family, kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her children; Glenn (Rose) Kroehler of Le Sueur, MN; Kathy Engel of Henderson, MN; Corrine Kroehler and husband Charles Roach of Bloomington, MN; Diane (Tom) Frauendienst of Henderson, MN; Dan (Ellen) Kroehler of Lakeville, MN and Ron (Sue) Kroehler of Brooklyn Park, MN.  21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles in 2001, infant son, Michael, Son-in-law, Russell Engel; brother, Roy Schrank and sister, Dorothy Lindeman. 

Due to the restrictions by the CDC and Minnesota Dept. of Health, a private burial service will be held at Brown Cemetery, Henderson, MN, officiated by Pastor Deb Meyer.
