Wayne Wilbert Steinke, age 71 of Le Sueur, MN, died on Friday morning, March 18, 2022 at Mayo Health System in Red Wing, MN. Celebration, remembrance and sharing will be at the Kolden Funeral Home on Friday, March 25, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. ~ 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date in Mound Cemetery, Le Sueur, MN.

Wayne was born on July 4, 1950 in New Ulm, MN to Wilbert and Elna (Krueger) Steinke. He moved at a young age to Le Sueur, MN and graduated from Le Sueur High School in 1969. He worked for the Le Sueur Foundry, (LSI) his entire working career and retired from LSI. Wayne was a proud father of his boys and passed down his love and passion for horses, hunting and family to his sons and grandbabies. He will be remembered on every ride and every hunt.

Wayne is survived by his sons; Kyle (Jessica) Steinke of Le Sueur, MN and Erik (Ashley) Steinke of Le Sueur, MN. Grandchildren; Lana, Leah, Aubree, Addison, Hunter and Tanner Steinke. Sister; Kay (Hillard) Rolf of Arlington, MN and brother; Bruce (Debbie) Steinke of Le Sueur, MN; nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; infant sons, Jeremy and Tyler Steinke and sister, Beverly Benke-Ignaszewski.
