Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday, June 1, from 4-7 p.m. and one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service at church on Thursday. Pastor Jason Lang will officiate.

Bill was born on May 23, 1963, in Oelwein, Iowa, to Milo and Wilma (Rummel) Floyd. He graduated from Oelwein High School in 1981 and attended Kirkwood Community College.  He received his Bachelor degree in English from Iowa State University. He married Susan Larson on Oct. 24, 1987, in Brookings, SD.  He worked for many years as editor and sports editor at newspapers in Estherville, IA; Waseca, MN; Le Sueur, St. Peter and Belle Plaine, MN.  Bill served on the boards of the Le Sueur‐Henderson School Board, LS-H Community Education and Le Sueur-Henderson Habitat for Humanity. He was a lifelong fan of the Iowa State University sporting teams, enjoyed running with Mackenzie, and proudly would tell his doctors, nurses and physical therapists he ran Twin Cities Marathon twice. He loved watching old TV shows with Alex, road trips and getting together with his extended families.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; children Alex and Mackenzie of Le Sueur; sisters Debbie Floyd of Waterloo, Iowa, and Sharon (Donald) Davidson of Grundy Center, Iowa. Parents‐in‐law Jim and Nancy Larson of Glencoe, MN, and sisters‐in‐law Julie (Larry) Stier of Prior Lake, MN, and Shelly (Ron) Reuter of Woodbury, MN; 12 nieces and nephews and 13 grand‐nieces and grand‐nephews.
